July 27, 2024. A morning in the Operation Sack Lunch kitchen — and proof that scale and intimacy can be the same thing.
On July 27, 2024, ten H3x volunteers — the so-called #Hbarbarians — showed up in Seattle to spend the morning in the kitchen at Operation Sack Lunch (@oslserves), one of the most established meal-prep operations on the West Coast.
This wasn't a photo op. It was a shift. Real prep, real cleanup, real partnership with an organization that has been quietly feeding thousands of Seattleites for years. H3x volunteers signed up through a Google form (closed July 20) and donated funds alongside their hands.
Operation Sack Lunch serves over 6,000 meals to Seattle communities. We were honored to be part of one morning of that work.
Seattle proved H3x could partner with established operations and still keep our hands-on ethos. We didn't write a check from a distance — we showed up, suited up, and contributed alongside the people who do this work every single day.
Your donation funds the next event, the next partnership, the next morning in someone's kitchen feeding thousands.
