Ten Hbarbarians. Six thousand meals.

On July 27, 2024, ten H3x volunteers — the so-called #Hbarbarians — showed up in Seattle to spend the morning in the kitchen at Operation Sack Lunch (@oslserves), one of the most established meal-prep operations on the West Coast.

This wasn't a photo op. It was a shift. Real prep, real cleanup, real partnership with an organization that has been quietly feeding thousands of Seattleites for years. H3x volunteers signed up through a Google form (closed July 20) and donated funds alongside their hands.

The Day

• Kitchen volunteer shift at OSL — meal prep alongside their full-time team.
• Direct funding from H3x community contributions, with a portion of Part 2 NFT mint proceeds from @AltlantisApp (60% sold) channeled into the donation.
• Recap Twitter Space on July 31, 2024, with photos and video shared across the community.

Why It Mattered

Seattle proved H3x could partner with established operations and still keep our hands-on ethos. We didn't write a check from a distance — we showed up, suited up, and contributed alongside the people who do this work every single day.
